Manchester hosted both District Semi Finals on Thursday and then prepared to host the District finals on Friday Evening.

Thursday saw Ann Arbor Greenhills take on Rudolph Steiner followed by Manchester taking on the cougars of Lenawee Christian.

After Greenhills had seen off Steiner 8 – 0, The lady Dutch look to set the tempo against LCS. Hannah woods got Manchester off the mark when she got on the end of a cross.

Rylee Spitler was next as she smashed a rocket into to the roof of the net.

Lauren Sprau added her first of the game getting on the end of a Bargardi cross.

3 – 0 HT

Sprau added 2 more with Rayna Edwards adding 1 put the game out of reach.

FT 6 – 0

Friday evening saw Ann Arbor Greenhills head to the fortress to take on The Lady Dutch in the District final,

2 teams going head to head for District championship saw a great battle from the start,

Greenhills managed to get on the board first with an early goal,

Manchester responded when Delanie Osborne managed to poke the ball home after a Mikayla Ball corner ended up bouncing around in the 6 yard box.

1 – 1 HT

A slight change to the Manchester system saw the introduction of Lauren Sprau up top with Delanie Osborne. It wasn’t long before the 2 combined with Osborne sliding in Sprau who calmly slotted the ball home for a 2 – 1 lead.

Manchester managed to remain tight at the back and although Greenhills were knocking at the door, The Lady Dutch defense stayed solid and ended the game 2 – 1 to capture the District title and a place in the regionals first round

The Lady Dutch now play Plymouth Christian on Tuesday at Spring Arbor University
